Peacock Suites Resort
The peacock suites resort may have the actual birds pecking around unattended on the grounds outside; chicks are more carefully watched over by the staff.
In the wild these birds live not more than 18 years. In captivity they can live from 20 to 30 years. Males of these birds are larger than females. Males usually weigh from 9 to 13 pounds and females weigh 6-9 pounds.

These birds are native to India, Burma, Java, Ceylon, Malaya and Congo. Nowadays they can be found in many park aviaries. The common name of peafowl should be applied only to males, and females are called peahens.
