Peacocks are omnivorous. In the wild they feed on seeds, grain, fruit, berries and other plant. These birds also eat small animals such as snakes, mice and insects. They usually scratch the leaf litter with their strong legs for obtaining the food. Bird breeders are often familiar with both the chick and the birds.
